About this site

An independent desk for reading crypto apps sceptically

TriaCrypto.app is an editorial project covering self-custodial wallets, crypto payment cards and the apps that market themselves as neobanks — with the Tria product line as its main subject. We are not affiliated with Tria, we do not represent it, and this is not its official website.

Why this site exists

Most writing about crypto apps falls into two piles. One is marketing, reworded. The other is promo-code pages that exist to place a referral link. Neither tells you what happens when a card programme is suspended, what a passkey actually depends on, or which number on a pricing page is the one that will cost you money.

We write the third thing: plain-English explanations of how these products work, what they cost in practice, and how they fail. The people writing here have used crypto payment cards since the first generation of them stopped working, and have watched several platforms collapse with customer funds inside. That experience shapes the tone: sceptical by default, specific about risk, and uninterested in whether an asset goes up.

How we research

  • Primary sources first. Product claims come from the company’s own website and documentation, quoted as claims and attributed. Where a figure comes from a third-party card database or exchange research page, we say so in the same sentence.
  • Contradictions stay visible. When two sources disagree — user counts, fee lines, supported networks — we publish both rather than choosing the more flattering one. Disagreement is information.
  • Operational testing over feature lists. The checks we recommend are the ones we run: restore a wallet on a second device, measure the conversion spread on a small purchase, confirm a withdrawal works before trusting a deposit.
  • Dated conclusions. Every analysis page carries a review date. Card terms and promotional rates change quickly, and an undated claim about fees is worthless.

What we will never publish

  • Price predictions, trading signals, or any suggestion that an asset will rise.
  • Promotional codes presented as verified when we cannot verify them.
  • A recommendation to store long-term savings in a hot wallet, whatever the app.
  • Instructions for circumventing a country restriction or an issuer’s eligibility rules.

How the site is funded

Some outbound buttons and links on this site point to third-party financial services, and we may receive compensation when a reader opens an account through them. That funding pays for research time and hosting. It does not buy a favourable assessment: the analysis, the warnings and the verdicts are written independently of it, and the companies we write about have no editorial input and see nothing before publication.

We also hold no position in any token discussed on this site as part of writing about it, and we do not accept payment for a specific conclusion, a specific rating, or the removal of a criticism.

Corrections

If a figure on this site is wrong or out of date, tell us and we will fix it and note the change. Email info@triacrypto.app with the page URL and, where possible, a link to the primary source. Corrections that affect a factual claim are applied before anything else in our queue.

What this site is not

We are not a licensed financial adviser, a broker, a tax adviser, or a customer-support channel for any product we cover. Nothing here is personal investment advice. If you need a recommendation specific to your circumstances, speak to a qualified professional in your own jurisdiction. If you need help with your account, contact the company that operates it — never a third party who contacts you first.
